Commercial-purpose financing for established businesses Financing disclosures

Transparent process

How It Works

A financing request should be easy to understand even when the underlying transaction is complex. Our process begins with the business objective and builds from there.

Initial conversation

Tell us what the business does, the amount requested, the use of funds and desired timing.

Information request

We identify the financial and transaction documents needed for a meaningful review.

Underwriting

We evaluate the request, business history, repayment capacity and applicable risks.

Decision & terms

If the request is approved, proposed terms and required conditions are communicated in writing.

What should I have ready?

Every transaction is different, but an initial review often begins with the legal business name, ownership information, time in business, financing amount, use of proceeds and recent operating results.

For an established operating business

  • Recent business bank statements
  • Profit-and-loss statement and balance sheet
  • Recent business tax returns, when requested
  • Schedule of existing business debt
  • Explanation of the financing purpose

For an acquisition or special transaction

  • Purchase agreement or letter of intent
  • Target-company financial information
  • Ownership and management background
  • Source of buyer equity or down payment
  • Relevant leases, licenses or transaction documents

What happens after an initial inquiry?

An inquiry is not an approval and does not obligate either party. If the request appears appropriate for further review, we will explain what additional information is needed and how sensitive documents should be transmitted.
